A self-portrait from my regular blood donation for Canadian Blood Services. You can donate every 56 days, so I go as often as I can. In general, once I am done all the paperwork (which takes time because of all the traveling have done) I can pump out a unit of blood - which is a pint (much like you would have beer served as) - in 5 minutes, sometimes under. This shot was quite difficult, simply because this time I chose to donate with my right arm (I generally tap my left), and I am right-handed and wield my camera with that arm. Still, I like how this shot turned out.

If you are able to donate blood, contact Canadian Blood Services and book an appointment.
